Operation Dry Water Set For July 4 Weekend

It's called Operation Dry Water and it's a major emphasis coming up July 3-5 on waters around Yakima County and the state. Deputy Scot Swallow with the Yakima County Sheriff's Office says the weekend is designed to find people who drink and boat and put an end to impaired boating.
Deputy Swallow says while the special emphasis called operation dry water will be held during the 4th of July weekend the waters around the county are patrolled throughout the summer including Today.
Swallow says it's not just law enforcement looking for drunk boaters he says other boaters also act as eyes and ears for law enforcement and do a great job of patrolling themselves.
