A personal rant by a lifelong Seattle Supersonics fan.

I was one of those kids that listened to the Sonics on my Montgomery Ward Airline transistor radio. I had to tuck it under my pillow because I was supposed to be asleep. I loved listening to the late great Bob Blackburn describe the game. In later years, I was estatic when the Lenny Wilkens coached teams made the playoffs and won the whole thing in 1979. I loved the George Karl years with Sean Kemp, Gary Payton and so on.

Sorry,  I could not be happy with the Oklahoma City Thunder's success this year. I did NOT want them to make the NBA Finals. Not for the players. It was cool to see Kevin Durant lead the league in scoring.

I was happy that the Rain Man, Sean Kemp turned down an invitation by the Thunder to sit courtside at a playoff game.

I AM happy that the Clay Bennet ownership group was denied a trip to the finals.

I'm just being petty and spiteful, I know..

Too bad.
