It's called a No Kings Day protest and it's set for Saturday in Union Gap.
THE PROTEST IS SPONSORED BY YAKIMA INDIVISIBLE
A press release from Yakima Indivisible says the No Kings Day of Peaceful Action is set for 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the intersection of Main Street and Valley Mall Boulevard in Union Gap part of nationwide "mobilization of concerned citizens." The release says the last event in Union Gap saw some 2,200 people involved.

PROTESTING TRUMP ADMINISTRATION ACTIONS
What's the reason for the protest? Officials from Yakima Indivisible say they're protesting what they say are authoritarian actions and power grabs by the Trump administration. They vow to not 'stand by' as they accuse the Trump administration of violating the democracy and constitution.
SENDING A CLEAR MESSAGE
The press release says the US is not governed by a king but rather the Rule of Law and the power belongs to the people. Yakima Indivisible officials say the protest on Saturday is designed to send a clear message that America has no kings and that the power is in the hands of the people. They say the event will be a non-violent protest with people who are trained in de-escalation techniques.
If you attend the event you're encouraged to bring donations to support the Yakima Rotary Food Bank.
A GRASSROOTS GROUP
The press release says Yakima Indivisible is a grassroots group which is committed to "protect and expand democracy through nonviolent activism."
