D-Rez and I needed to make a stop in Toppenish, WA today so I figured while we were in town, we should stop for lunch at A&B Native American Cuisine, the home of the Indian Taco! I've heard good things and having never tried frybread, I was ready! Have you tried frybread before?

Frybread is a flat dough bread, fried or deep-fried in oil, shortening, or lard. Made with simple ingredients, generally wheat flour, sugar, salt, and fat, frybread can be eaten alone or with various toppings such as honey, jam, powdered sugar, venison, or beef. Frybread can also be made into taco-like meals

We Came to Eat!

D-Rez hadn't been to A&B Native American Cuisine either so it was a perfect chance to test out the menu and get an honest take from someone who loves all the different frybread options.

Located at 208 S Toppenish Ave, Toppenish, WA 98948, it's right in the middle of town, and let me tell you, you better come hungry because you're in for a treat!

They have frybread bacon burgers with french fries, frybread sliders, meat pies, Philly cheesesteak frybread, elk stew, and even whipped cream, apple pie filling frybread, and more!

I went with the supreme Indian Taco and really loved how juicy the meat was, the pinto beans were great and the frybread was soft and delicious. Not oily whatsoever but had that really flavorful fried taste. The portion size is enough to share with a friend and still leave you feeling satisfied.

D-Rez went with the bacon frybread burger and OMG! It looked like two clouds of frybread as he picked it up and mentioned he'd never eaten frybread with mayo on it and loved it. He also pointed out this was the softest, fluffiest frybread he had ever eaten.

I chose to order dessert, apple pie filling with caramel sauce and whipped cream on top of frybread and was so stuffed, I had to take it home. I am happy to report that it holds up really well and hours later still wasn't soggy.

Fun Fact, if you need/want to heat your frybread back up you can toss it into a hot pan on the stove for a few minutes.
