Most Annoying and Overused Words

Control the language – control the debate…how many times have we heard that? All the more reason to fight political correctness. Right? But what about words that are just plain annoying? We all have words we love to hate. So does Michigan’s Lake Superior State University .

Each year they determine the words and phrases who’s familiarity now breeds enough contempt that they proclaim those words should be kicked to the curb of conversation altogether!

Their latest list is out and it’s “amazing”…or is it!

“Amazing” took top honors, with many people calling it the most overused word ever.”

Sorry Beyonce but coming in a close second was “baby bump,” which is used to describe a real or suspected pregnancy and has been used to describe Mrs. “Z” an amazing number of times.

And sorry America, but the President’s favorite political catch-phrase “shared sacrifice” rounded out the top three.
