Ok, I'm not here to frighten anyone away from getting the coronavirus vaccine.  I got a Moderna vaccine yesterday and it is kicking my butt a little bit.  Nothing like when I had Covid back in November but it's "noticeable".  Really sore arm, headache, chills, body aches and stomach ache.  Its a mini Covid experience for me.   My wife was hit hard too for a couple days, but our neighbors, who are older, had no reaction at all!  Go figure!  So my recommendation is to do what you feel you need to do.  A couple days of discomfort for longer term protection seems a fair trade...for me.

Where can you get the shot?  I got mine at the Memorial Hospital Education Center in the former Ward's Plaza.  And now the Yakima Medical-Dental Clinic is hosting a walk-in COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic. To be eligible, individuals need to be under Phase A and Phase 1B-Tier.

if you are seeking a shot from 8:00am-12:00pm, no appointment is necessary. If you would like an appointment, they are available from 8:00am-4:00pm. Established patients, should call (509) 248-3334. Non-established patients should email yakvax@yvfwc.org with your name, phone number and address.

Not sure if you are in the eligible category?  Here's the list

High-risk healthcare workers and first responders
