Yakima County sheriff's deputies arrested a suspect in a shooting reported at a home in Granger last Wednesday that left a 45-year-old man with life-threatening wounds. Early Monday members of the Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force arrested the 45-year-old suspect as he arrived at a Yakima business to pick up a check. Authorities found a gun on the man they believe was the same gun used in the shooting last week.
Deputies say the shooting happened at a home in the 500 block of Mentzer  Avenue in Granger after the two got into an argument. The 45-year-old victim remains in stable condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The 45-year-old suspect is being held in the Yakima County jail on an assault charge.
