An autopsy has been performed on the body of a 43-year-old man who died in a fatal shooting in Union Gap early Wednesday morning but the man hasn't yet been identified. Few details have been released about what actually happened before police were called to the Union Gap home at about 3:00 a.m. Wednesday. Police say they believe the man was shot and may have ran to a home in the area for help. The man died at a Yakima hospital. Yakima County Coroner Jim Curtice was unavailable for comment Thursday.
Along with Union Gap Police, Yakima Police detectives are also busy because they're searching for clues and suspects in a shooting reported October 7 on South Ninth Avenue that took the life of 20 year-old Matthew Munoz of Toppenish. Two others were injured in that shooting. One was hit by gunfire another was hit by the suspects fleeing vehicle.
No arrests have been made in either case and there's no word the two shootings are connected.
