The Washington State Department of Health has declared a statewide outbreak after 3 people have received treatment for severe lung disease linked to vaping. The cases are in Spokane and in the Seattle area. Officials with the Spokane Regional Health District say the two newest cases are a teen and a person in their 20's . The first case in the state was reported last week and involved a teen who was hospitalized after saying he had a shortness of breath a fever and cough.

All three cases reported vaping before becoming sick.

While no cases have been reported in Yakima, Nathan Johnson with the Yakima Health District says they've been working with local doctors making sure they have all the information they need. He says the district is urging doctors to report any local cases to the Yakima Health District.
