OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — State regulators have ordered a King County moving company to pay $51,900 in fines for more than 500 state and federal safety violations.

The Utilities and Transportation Commission fined Seattle-based Can't Stop Moving LLC on Tuesday for 529 separate violations identified during a routine inspection.

A safety inspector uncovered 429 violations where the company allowed five of its drivers to operate a moving truck when they were not medically certified.

The company was also cited for five violations of failing to conduct criminal background checks on employees.

Regulators found 17 instances when the driver operated a vehicle while his license was suspended.

The company also was cited for using a vehicle that was not periodically inspected.

An email message sent to the company seeking comment was not immediately returned.
