K-9 Simcoe Joins Yakima County Sheriff’s Office

The Yakima County Sheriff's Office has hired a new deputy. K-9 Simcoe has joined the office. The German Shepard is 2-years-old and was purchased from California with donations from business and community members. K-9 Simcoe and his handler Deputy Joel Panattoni are preparing for to start a 400-hour training course. When the training is complete the two will begin patrolling the county. That's expected to happen before the end of the year.
