A Judge has ruled claims made against Yakima City Council member Jason White in a recall petition are insufficient. During a hearing in Yakima County Superior Court on Wednesday the judge didn't find enough evidence to allow the petition to move forward. So no signature gathering. White continues in his role as a city council member. But the person who started the petition, Yakima Attorney Liz Hallock says she'll appeal the decision to the State Supreme Court.
Hallock says when White encouraged people to not wear a mask he committed a violation of the oath of office acts of malfeasance, misfeasance. But the judge ruled against Hallock finding the petition to be insufficient.
