This coming July is going to be filled with another fun concert in Washington!

Wine Country Amphitheater just announced a new tour stop for Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas. They'll be joined by Willie Watson, a popular Americana folk artist and actor. (Ever seen that movie, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs?)

This is the band's first national tour in ages, so this is pretty exciting news for country and folk music fans!

I'm old enough to remember when Alison Krauss & Union Station won a Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album (I was a senior in high school).

I also remember when Alison was featured in that George Clooney movie for the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack (2000).

FUN FACT: Union Station is the famous historical landmark train stop (and later became a grand hotel) in Nashville, where the band originates.

48 of the Best Musicians to Have Hailed From Washington State

We all know about the influential grunge scene of Seattle that brought the end of hair metal at the dawn of the 1990s. But did you know even more artists have called Washington home? A lot of these artists come from Seattle but some come from Spokane and even the Tri-Cities.
