There's a restaurant in the Pacific Northwest that captures Oregon's laid-back and chill vibes and yet packs a powerful punch of homestyle diner foods.

Its restaurant theme is relaxing, warm, and inviting, just like your favorite Auntie's house.

You can enjoy a full plate of good old-fashioned Southern comfort food or get a simple biscuit and load it up with the fixins, like slabs of butter and jam preserves.

This restaurant is so popular that in 2009, even Guy Fieri had to stop in for a taste and figure out what makes it so unique. He featured Pine State Biscuits on Episode 9 of the sixth season of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on the Food Network.

On All Kinds of Classics, Fieri tried out Pine State Biscuit's Reggie Deluxe.

The Reggie Deluxe is loaded with Southern-style fried chicken, bacon, a huge slice of cheese, gravy, lettuce, tomato, and a fried egg.

I discovered Pine State Biscuits on my own, years before I heard that Guy Fieri had eaten there. I was in Portland on a Girls' Trip in the summer of 2022.

It was the hottest summer Portland had seen in ages, and our Airbnb had no air conditioning.

We were headed back home to Washington state but decided on having some brunch before we hit the road.

I scoured the internet trying to pick a good spot with food we all could agree on and I knew I had picked a winner because I had found a restaurant with the name "biscuits" in the title.

When I saw all of my friends grab their phones to take pics of their food, I knew that this restaurant was a hit.

I ordered the McIsley, which has heapings of brown mustard on top of a juicy, crispy, honey-drenched chicken breast on a biscuit, one of the best biscuits I've ever tasted!

Delish.com named Pine State Biscuits the #1 diner, drive-in, and dive in the whole state of Oregon.

“At this Portland comfort food restaurant, biscuits are the star of the show. From biscuits and gravy to the toppling fried chicken, bacon, cheddar, and gravy biscuit sandwich (known as The Reggie), you certainly won't leave Pine State Biscuits hungry.” - Delish.com

Pine State Biscuits has four locations in Oregon and one in Reno.
