Local Need for Donations and Volunteers is Great Yakima Valley
Wanting to Give Back to the Yakima Valley Community?
There are many different places to give back and it doesn't just have to happen on Giving Tuesday. The holiday season is rough for everyone and anything that you are able to provide, even if it's sharing the information on your social media or making a day that you, your friends and family donate time or supplies is greatly appreciated.
YMCA
We would be honored if you would consider a donation in support of our Partner With Youth Campaign to help ensure that as the YMCA of Yakima works to return to full capacity, we will be ready. Your gift will truly make a positive impact in the lives of the kids and families we serve.
YWCA
A donation to the YWCA helps getting those in need shelter, safety, comfort and beyond. You can donate monetarily or begin training to assist someone when they need it most
Conversations Topics will include;
what is intimate partner violence,
power & control tactics, indicators of
harm, the impacts, myths vs. facts, &
where to refer someone for help.
Pegasus Project
Walking is a privilege that a lot of us take for granted. Imagine you aren't able to walk anymore BUT you are still able to ride a horse in a controlled environment. Perhaps your child is seeking therapy and loves animals. This spot does so much for so many. Donate at anytime, even find the latest volunteer options
Pegasus Project is looking to hire a PATH Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor to teach a couple days a week. Full-time position is a possibility if desired. Please email resume to admin@pegasusrides.com.
Rod's House
This is the spot for teens and youth who don't have a home to go to.
Vision: Rod's House envisions an END to youth homelessness in the Yakima Valley. To break the cycle of homelessness we will engage volunteers, donors, and the community to ensure young people's basic human needs are met and that they have a safe, stable home; permanent, positive connections; meaningful education and employment opportunities; behavioral and physical healthcare; and supports that reinforce their individual abilities.
