HOT GOSSIP: BBQ Pop Up Restaurant Event This Saturday w/Celebrity Chef Shawn Niles
The hottest ticket in town this weekend is at the pop-up restaurant experience hosted by national celebrity chef, The Fat Pastor.
I guess there are more foodies around Yakima than I thought. Everybody is talking about this event, from my best friends to co-workers and even the frenemies I follow on social media!
Maybe everybody is coming out of hibernation because of the warmer weather.
If the crowd is anything like it was at the last restaurant pop up event that Chef Niles hosted at Schab's Bier Den in March, this event on Saturday is going to be a lot of fun.
You might recall Chef Shawn Niles as a contestant on MasterChef Season 8 and as a competitor on the cool Netflix cooking show, Best Leftovers Ever.

Chef Shawn has been quite busy lately, from cheering on his incredibly talented 9-year-old chef-ranteur (my word) in the making, Asher Niles, on this past season of MasterChef Junior, to keeping his fans happy with great flavors of food at his pop ups, Bite Club dinners, and more.
LET'S TAKE A SHORT BREAK FOR SOME HOT GOSSIP: Did I mention that Chef Shawn and Chef Asher (aka The Fat Pastor Junior) just won the People’s Choice Award and 1st place in the Wild Card round, along with a Golden Ticket to the 2024 World Food Championships? Because that's a thing!
The Fat Pastor's new foodie venture is the Fat Pastor Legacy Smoke Squad
The Fat Pastor Legacy Smoke Squad is releasing their own sauce line called, Flavor Ain't Fair. It features a special barbecue sauce collab with Tieton Cider Works called the Wrath of the Tieton.
It's a hard cherry cider infused barbecue sauce. As a huge cider fan, this makes my mouth water as I type this.
I am intrigued to see what this one will taste like: The Holy Moses Chicken Rub.
I just love the name of this one: Golden Calf Coffee Rub.
If you want tickets to eat at the BBQ pop up restaurant event this Saturday, find them on sale here. You can choose a plate of meat (pulled pork, chicken, brisket, and pork tenderloin) + a side of macaroni salad and baked beans. Now, that's a true barbecue plate of food.
Come hungry, that's all I can tell you!
