What did Washington contribute to the “America 250 time capsule”?
When was the last time you were ever involved in the contents of a time capsule? Me, never. I was there when a time capsule was buried outside my junior high school. I remember watching TV when a time capsule was dug up in Seattle. I honestly don't remember what was in it.

I remember when NASA shot Voyager into space, they created a space-time capsule of audio, a gold record with music, speeches and information on it that they shot into space.
Now America is celebrating its 250th birthday, and, among other things, they're doing it with a giant time capsule.

According to axios.com,
‘Every U.S. state contributed items to a time capsule marking the nation's 250th anniversary this year. Washington's picks were … well, a little boring.’
What did Washington contribute?
Yes, the politicians in Washington state stepped up and provided 2 items for the 250th anniversary time capsule. A gubernatorial proclamation and a letter from the Lieutenant governor. (Maybe there was a weight limit?)

Other states stepped up and put out some pretty cool things for the time capsule. Some states provided handmade and cultural artwork. Arkansas provided a diamond. When people dig up this time capsule in 2276, they may be a little disappointed once they get down to the W’s.
Were there no other ideas?
To me it just seems like there was not a lot of thought put into the Washington state contribution. I mean, why not a piece of freeze-dried apple pie?
The Lieutenant governor explained that these two documents were meant to describe to people in 2276 how the residents of Washington State felt about the 250th anniversary.

I like Oklahoma's submission to the time capsule, an Oklahoma Thunder NBA championship ring. Is it too late to get a Seahawks NFL Super Bowl ring in there.
If it was my choice, I think we need to put in a salmon, (Yes, the whole fish) but after 250 years, it would probably be pretty nasty.

Do they have freeze dried salmon?
