Traffic on 16th Avenue between Fruitvale Boulevard and River Road will be interrupted from Wednesday, Feb. 13 through Friday, Feb. 15 while a project is underway to install an industrial waste-water line.

Crews from TTC Construction, a Yakima-based contracting firm, will be working in the northbound lane of 16th Avenue from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each of the three days to install the 12-inch diameter line. Traffic controls will be in place and one lane in each direction will remain open throughout the project.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to businesses in the area will be maintained and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.

As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily, dependant on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
