The Red, White & Blue is grounds for a pretty BIG party with about  219 million Americans planning to throw down at the hoe down that is the Fourth of July.

According to a survey by the National Retail Federation, Americans are expected to spend $7.1 billion on cookouts and picnics, up from $6.8 billion in 2016.

Two-thirds of those surveyed plan to take part in a cookout or picnic, spending an average $73.42.
Independence Day Plans Include:
--Cookout /BBQ /Picnic: 65.5 percent
--Fireworks /community celebration: 43.6 percent
--Travel /vacation: 13.3 percent
--Will not celebrate: 11.6 percent
--Attending a parade: 13.5 percent
--Other: 8.3 percent
