House Sends Impeachment To The Senate

Well here we go.  In the ultimate act of desperation, the House of Representatives has voted to march the articles of impeachment over to the Senate for an impeachment trial.  To me that means one thing and one thing only.  The political swamp is threatened like never before and the creatures of the deep muck that have survived and thrived there for so long are willing to do virtually anything to stop the threat.

In the end, the dinosaurs couldn't stop the meteor, the mammoths couldn't stop the glaciers and the left can't find a  way to stop President Trump short of turning the full force of the House, the media, academia and Hollywood against him.  Because their efforts are so ridiculous and so politically transparent, they will fail and moreover, they will only to serve to present the President with a badge of honor for for surviving the combat.

Meanwhile, the Patriot Post reports on a new Gallup Poll (Gallup’s annual survey of ideological and political leanings)  that shows with the 2020 election closing in,  the ground is shifting a little under the shaky legs of liberals.

According to the poll’s summary, “As Americans continued to lean more Democratic than Republican in their party preferences in 2019, the ideological balance of the country remained center-right, with 37% of Americans, on average, identifying as conservative during the year, 35% as moderate and 24% as liberal.”

This represents a 2% increase since 2018 of self-described conservatives and a 2% decrease in the number of self-described liberals. The number of moderates stayed the same.

The small difference is significant given the hard left turn taken by the National Democrats.  The Gallup survey shows less than one-quarter of Americans call themselves liberal at a time when half the Democrat Party identifies as liberal.

Writing for the Patriot Post, Louis DeBroux' says, "No longer content to be a party of a Big Government “safety net,” the modern Democrat Party now embraces full-blown socialism, in principle if not always in name......No longer a party that subscribes to the principle that “I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it,” the Democrat Party today seeks to silence opposing viewpoints through public shaming, doxxing, mob demonstrations, and even violence....Today’s Democrat Party seeks the complete destruction of traditional values....Democrats have no one but themselves to blame when they lose. They completely misjudged the American people. They thought we would embrace their anti-American, anti-business, anti-religion, anti-biology, pro-criminal, pro-terrorist agenda."

Americans everywhere should stop and watch the the House Democrats parade their nebulous articles of impeachment over to the Senate.  With any luck, that short walk of shame will be a practice run for a walk off into history for a party more interested in holding on to swamp based power and privilege rather than keeping their promises to work on behalf the American people.
