The COVID-19 numbers keep growing in Yakima.

36 people have died from COVID-19 in Yakima County. Yakima Health District officials continue to stress the majority of deaths, 35 of the 36 people who have died have had underlying health conditions. There are at least 835 confirmed cases reported.  Statistics from the Yakima Health District say 18 of the 36 deaths were people ages 80-years-old or older.  There have been no deaths in the 176 cases of people ages 19 or younger and those between 20 and 29-years-old.

25 people are currently hospitalized. The largest group of people with the virus in the county? 142 people between the ages of 50 and 59-years-old. The smallest group? 47 cases of people ages 19-years-old or younger.
