Governor Jay Inslee will visit Yakima on Thursday to talk with residents and listen to concerns about gang and gun violence. The Governor is co-sponsoring a gang summit in Tacoma in November and he's looking for information to help him understand the problems statewide.

Officials from the Yakima Police Department will give a presentation along with presentations from leaders in local churches, the school district and local non-profit organizations. Yakima City Councilwoman Dulce Gutierrez will also make a presentation to the Governor.

The meeting at 14 S. Fourth Street will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
