Gonzaga University Basketball is knocking on the door of history tonight.  Tonight the Bulldogs hope to accomplish what has only been done 7 times before and the last one was 45 years ago and that's to win the Men's NCAA National Basketball Championship with an undefeated record.

NCAA.Com has a great article about those team which have accomplished the feat since 1939.  It's worth the read to be reminded of ultimate winner Bill Russel at San Francisco, of how North Carolina had a triple overtime game in the semi-finals and then a second triple overtime time to defeat Wilt Chamberlin's Kansas in the finals, the great Lew Alcindor and Bill Walton teams at UCLA and the Indian Hoosiers in 1976.

Gonzaga hopes to add its name to that list and the hype and hoopla that has generated has electrified the Bulldog Nation!

After countless hours of hard work, sacrifice and sweat the bulldogs have put themselves in a position to win but after 30 wins to get there, here is the one moment that will be remembered most in their amazing season.

Here's the scene: Semi-final game against UCLA, it's overtime, just tied up at 90-90 with only 3.3 seconds left. Gonzaga inbounds the ball.  What an incredible moment!  What a memory for a lifetime for Bulldog fans everywhere!

The title game is tonight but there is still time to hop on the Zag train HERE.

The Gonzaga program is a class act run by an excellent, humble and beloved coach.  Coach Mark Few has been close before losing in the championship game in 2017.  April 3, 2017 Gonzaga takes on the University of North Carolina.  The year before, UNC lost the championship to Villanova so this game was redemption for them and the Tar-heels beat Gonzaga's Bulldogs 71 to 65.

Is this Gonzaga's chance to erase the heartbreak of the past?  Hop on the train and find out.  6:00 tonight on CBS.  GO ZAGS!!!
