It's official. Opening day at the White Pass Ski Area is Friday. White Pass Ski Area General Manager Kevin McCarthy says COVID-19 restrictions will be in place on Friday including the requirement to wear a mask and social distance in the chair lines. Online ticket sales are underway and no reservations are required.
The lodge will be closed for dining but bathrooms will be open. Food will be available outside. There's a grill located on the lodge deck and grab and go wood fired pizza in an old engine room near the lodge. No child care will be available this year.
Ski area officials say most of the ski area will be open including a terrain park. McCarthy is just hoping everyone will follow the rules and stay healthy as a new season begins at White Pass on Friday, November 27. Lifts start spinning at 8:45 a.m.
