Firefighters Battling Flames Along I-82 Near Wapato

Fire crews are battling brush and grass fires that started earlier this afternoon along I-82 near Wapato. Fire crews are trying to reach the flames with some fire trucks parked along the freeway. Smoke can be seen in the area but no traffic is being impacted and no major road closures are in place. No word on how the fire started. Be careful if you are driving in the area of the fires.
