Racing fans will once again gather at Yakima Speedway next month for two races that organizers hope will lead to a revitalized schedule of events at the local venue. Yakima businessmen Doug Betterall and Ron Bennet have leased the track from owner Tedd Pollack and have 2 big races set for July. Betterall tells KIT News they not only hope to get people excited about racing again but also hope people will see lots of changes at the track. "All the money is going into cleaning the bathrooms, lowering gate prices and food and cleaning up the infield. We're just trying to make it fan friendly."
