The Yakima County Office of Emergency Management is hoping you can help them by donating supplies needed by Yakima's first responders and healthcare workers fighting COVID-19. Spokesman Horace Ward says they're looking for things like hand sanitizer, non-latex exam gloves, cots or beds, surface disinfectant, surgical masks and disinfecting wipes. They're also looking for Alcohol prep pads, booties, face shields, touchless thermometers and gowns.
You can drop off your donations Monday and Tuesday at Southwest corner of the Valley Mall parking lot in Union Gap from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Then on Wednesday and Thursday of next week donations are being collected at the Grand Cinemas in Sunnyside also from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
If you have questions you can contact the Yakima County Office of Emergency Management at 574-1919.
