THE KEY IS EARLY DETECTION

“Early detection is the key to survival,” say officials from Astria Health. “Women in their early 20s should perform regular self-exams and begin mammography screenings at age 40, continuing annually thereafter.” Over the past decade, the average survival rate for breast cancer has increased to between 85% and 90%, a testament to the advances in medical treatment and awareness campaigns. Notably, 66% of breast cancer cases are diagnosed at a localized stage when the disease is most easily treatable.
