The Crimestoppers program has already put nearly 80 felons behind bars this year. It's such a success; the task force is now working directly with Crimestoppers. It's been less than a month since the partnership began, but our news partner KIMA Action News reports it's already making a big impact. Yakima Police Sgt. Randy Briscoe says the violent crimes task force has their hands full here in Yakima, with dozens of harmful felons on their radar. But they now have a new tool to help - tips from Crimestoppers. The task force is teaming up with the organization. And one of the ways the two groups are now working together is through the creation of the Crimestoppers bulletin. The task force now has a big say in who's featured on the bulletin. So far this year, Crimestoppers has given out $6,000 in rewards resulting in 80 felons behind bars.
