After weeks of flooding along Wide Hollow Creek city officials are working to make sure that doesn't happen again and the work could result in some traffic congestion this morning.

Yakima city workers will be clearing out debris; a section of the Wide Hollow Creek that's just west of a bridge on 24th Avenue that crosses the creek.

Traffic restrictions will be put in place for about two hours, starting at 9:00 a.m. Southbound traffic near and across the bridge will be down to one lane. The city says drivers should expect delays along 24th Avenue because of heavy traffic during that time of the morning.

Officials also say that access to homes and businesses in the area will be available as best as possible.
