White Pass Ski Area is planning a craft brew festival this weekend. White Pass officials say it's a way to celebrate the agricultural history of White Pass founders, who grow apples, stone fruits, grapes, vegetables and are the largest producers of hops in the world.
The free festival features a variety of local brews and live music from Cody Beebe and the Crooks. Bale Breaker, Single Hill, Varietal, Bron yr Aur, Packwood, DRU BRU and Triceratops brewing companies are all hoping to defeat the 2019 champion, Cowiche Creek Brewing Co.! At the end of the day Saturday, a brewers race is planned with the prize being a traveling trophy constructed by Holly and Phil Mahre.

The festival will be held all day from 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Live music in the main lodge is set for 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

You can enjoy the festival while having fun in all the snow at White Pass. Currently with a 72-inch base, the forecast for the weekend calls for a mixture of rain and snow with 5 to 10 inches of new snow expected on Saturday. Sunday no snow accumulation is in the forecast -- just a wintry mix of rain and snow for the day.
