We talk politics on the Morning News Radio Show...so, let's talk politics and presidential contenders...you have Donald Trump...or Nikki Haley...112 year old Joe Biden or the invisible Kamala Harris...or maybe , just maybe Dwayne "The ROCK" Johnson!

In a teaser of an upcoming Sunday Today with Willie Geist interview, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said that he will run for president if that’s what people want. The 48-year-old is responding to a poll released last week that found 45% of Americans support stars like Johnson and Matthew McConaughey in their rumored political aspirations.

He would qualify right away as the nation's most buffed President.  I mean Washington was a big man and Teddy Roosevelt was tough as nails, but come on....the ROCK  is huge!  Six foot four inches and 260 pounds! Put THAT in your shirtless selfies comrade Putin!!

So, how does the Rock really feel about the idea? Johnson said: “So I do have that goal to unite our country. And I also feel that if this is what the people want then I will do that. But I am passionate about making sure that our country is united. Because a united country, as we know, is its strongest and I want to see that for our country.”

Unity...now there's a great idea.  Let's see if he can pull that off!  He certainly has brought us all together at the box office.  His top ten grossing films taking in over 7 billion dollars world wide.  His highest grossing flick so far is the seventh entry into the Fast and Furious franchise with a movie aptly titled Furious 7 which pulled in a world wide total of 1 and a half billion dollars.  Fast & Furious also describes what it must be like to serve as President and leader of the free world!  Good practice!  However, the ROCK gets about 20+ million a movie so it will definitely be a pay cut for him like it was for Trump.

In an ET article on line, the potential President confirmed that he has taken meetings to "understand more" about the job.

"The idea of running for president has been very flattering that a good amount of people have been wanting me to run and, honestly, it's so flattering, but I feel like the most respectful thing I could do is just learn as much as I could possibly do.....To become president, that is a skill set that I feel like you have to know,,,,You have to put in the time -- like years and years of service, so anyway, that's where I'm at. I just want to learn as much as I possibly can."

Cinema Blend online lists the Rock's next projects headed to the big screen.  The list includes Jungle Cruise, Red Notice, Black Adam, San Andreas 2, Doc Savage, Big Trouble in Little China & The King.

"The King", sounds like a good warm up for Dwayne Johnson's biggest role ever, IF you now what we mean and I think you do!
