Coroner Identifies Yakima Homicide Victim

The Yakima County Coroner Jim Curtice has identified the person killed in a shooting Monday as 20-year-old Matthew Munoz of Toppenish. Curtice says Munoz died of a gunshot wound.
Yakima Police say they were called to the in the 700 block of South Ningth Avenue  Monday for a gang related fight that turned deadly. Two others were injured in the shooting and taken to a Yakima hospital. No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.

Police say the fight started between two groups of people in front of a home on South Ninth Avenue. It ended when someone pulled a gun and fired at the group. Two were shot and a third person was injured after being hit by a suspect vehicle that fled the area.
