Yakima County Coroner Jim Curtice has identified human skeletal remains found in an area near Wapato on Sunday as that of 56-year-old Anthony Wahsise Sr., a member of the Yakama Nation.
The remains were found by hunters early Sunday. The hunters then called authorities who started an investigation Sunday afternoon. The Yakima County Sheriff's Office says the cause of death hasn't been determined. Curtice says the remains are being sent to the King County Medical Examiner for more testing.
