The Seventeenth Day of September, one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven.” the signing of our Constitution at the Philadelphia Convention,

In honor and respect for all that the history making moment represents, patriots everywhere need to continue to hold elected representatives to account for abiding by their solemn oaths which include the words “to Support and Defend” our Constitution and the Rule of Law it presents.

How does knowledge of our constitution apply to local electeds?  Take the issue of ICE flights.  The constitution says national immigration policy is reserved to the federal government.  The City of Yakima's deal with the Federal Aviation Administration requires the airport to not discriminate against any airport user and that includes the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

Some Yakima City Council representatives voted to ban the flights in and out of Yakima's airport.  In addition to violating our agreement with the FAA and putting millions of dollars at risk, it was also an attempt to thwart the federal government in its constitutional duty to execute immigration policy.

Sanctuary cities, attacks on gun rights, attempts to silence conservative voices -  Constitutional protections are on the defensive all around us.  America is better served and more likely preserved when we ALL know and understand our constitution and we all agree to support and defend.
