Security. It's always top of mind for members of congress. 4th District Congressman Dan Newhouse tells KIT News Today he's working with police in both Washington D.C. and Washington State to create better security for himself and the people in his district in light of the shooting in Virginia Wednesday. "The last thing I ever want is for people to feel like they're in danger if they want to come and visit with me."
Newhouse says along with working with police he's also reviewing security at his district offices. He says he's looking at things like security doors and security cameras and increased security at future district meetings as well.
