Commissioners To Vote On Clerk Request To Fund Defense
The Yakima County Commissioners are expected to vote next week on a request from County Clerk Janelle Riddle to fund her defense in a current recall effort. Riddle has requested the help from commissioners. Yakima County Prosecutor Joe Brusic says the commissioners aren't obligated to pay for the defense. A resolution is expected to be ready for a vote next Tuesday during the regular commissioners meeting at 10:00 a.m. at Yakima City Hall.
Yakima Business Times Publisher Bruce Smith along with Grandview attorney Rick Kimbrough and Yakima attorneys Robert Young and Richard Johnson filed paperwork with the Yakima County Auditors office late last month to start the recall process.
