Do you walk in city of Yakima? If the answer is yes then you may be interested in commenting on the city Pedestrian Master Plan. The City has posted surveys in English and Spanish online asking for public input. Survey questions range from walking frequency and destinations in the City of Yakima, to barriers that prevent walking more often. City officials say they want to know your thoughts on where the plan can be improved and where the plan is seeing success. The information collected over the next two months will help planners target specific areas of the Pedestrian Master Plan to make walking in the city more enjoyable.
Community members are also asked to review an interactive web map they can use to zoom to different areas of the City to provide more detailed descriptions about pedestrian access.
