City Holds Recycling Informational Meeting February 25

Do you pay for curbside recycling?

Yakima's solid waste and recycling Manager Loretta Zammarchi is holding a free information session about recycling called “Recycling: Global and Local." The event is set for at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25 at Wesley United Methodist Church on North 48th Ave.
The presentation is sponsored by The League of Women Voters.
Zammarchi says the city has a plan for a curbside recycling program but she says the cost of the program is to much given the current state of the recycling industry.
