The Yakima City Council approved an ongoing agreement Tuesday with Yakima Valley Trolleys. The agreement simply continues a relationship with Yakima Valley Trolleys that allows them to use the 5 mile interurban electric railway system in the city and operate the museum at 306 West Pine Street.
Funding for the system is provided through the City Council’s budget process, and funds gained from ticket sales is placed in an operating budget for the system and museum.  The new agreement is good through December 31, 2024.
However the system remains closed and public rides won't be available until the county is in phase 3 of the state's re-opening plan. You'll find information on the web at http://www.yakimavalleytrolleys.org/
