SCOOP: Yakima’s Capital Campaign Public Launch Sneak Peek Event June 15th
On Monday, June 15th, the Capitol Theatre is launching a public campaign event. You can come get a sneak peek at what big changes the Capitol Theatre and its team of supporters and volunteers plan to do within the next year.
The Capitol Theatre is a premium-class (and historical landmark) venue where Yakima goes to see Broadway shows, musicals, and plays, performances by the Yakima Symphony Orchestra, and exclusive events that bring world-renowned celebrities and guest speakers to the city of Yakima.
The Goal Is to Restore and Modernize
Guests of the public who attend the event, designed to reveal plans of modernizing and restoring the building, will be entered to win free tickets to an upcoming show at The Capitol.
The Capitol Campaign hopes to raise millions of dollars in private and public donations beginning from now until 2027 to support the building's interior upgrades.
Beginning at 5 p.m., complimentary snacks and the cash bar will be provided.

Volunteers and staff members will be on hand to answer any questions and discuss ways you can help support the Capitol Campaign.
