BoomStix Strikes In Late Inning Rally, Seattle beats Texas 11-10

Nelson Cruz set off the BOOMSTIX with two home runs in the early innings of yesterday's game against the Texas Rangers. Cruz raising his major league-leading HR total to eight. Austin Jackson hit his 11th career leadoff home run.

The ninth inning had the biggest drama when Brad Miller led off with a single and advanced on Seth Smith's one-out walk. Jackson lined a single to right. Rickie Weeks popped out and Robinson Cano was intentional walked bring Cruz to the plate where he lined a pitch into left field to score Smith for the win and his fifth RBI of the game.
