‘Bikes for Books’ Rewards Young Yakima Readers

Mt. Adams Lodge #227 and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves have joined forces to reward young readers in the Yakima School District.
'Bikes for Books' is a program created by to increase and improve the literacy of students in the Y.S.D.

There will be a total of 10 bikes given away at 5 local schools. Student readers will be entered into a drawing with the winner getting a bike, helmet and lock at a school assembly. The Yakima Fire Department will also be present.

Award ceremonies are as follows:
Ridgeview School, May 28th, 1:15 P.M.
Wide Hollow School., May 29th, 9:30 P.M.
Barge-Lincoln School, June 5th, 1:15 P.M.
Ahtanum School, June 7th, 2:30 P.M.
Adams School, June 10th, 11:00 A.M.
