See Ben Saunders at the Capitol Theatre

Author, polar explorer, climate tech investor, Ben Saunders will be the keynote speaker on Wednesday, March 18th at 11 a.m.

Saunders is the third featured guest as part of the 2025-2026 Yakima Town Hall Speaker Series.

He has "skied solo to both poles, led the longest human-powered polar journey, and inspired millions through his TED Talks and books," according to the Town Hall Series page.

He is also an author, with contributions to books like Shackleton and What Doesn’t Kill You, and features in works on leadership and resilience.

Over two decades, he has covered more than 4,500 miles on foot in polar regions, leading historic expeditions such as The Scott Expedition, the longest human-powered polar journey, and becoming the third person to ski solo to both poles.
