Many gay couples in the state are already talking about getting married under the state's new same sex marriage law...but planning a traditional wedding might not be so easy. Same sex couples in Washington might feel like they've already overcome the biggest obstacle, but now they have another hurdle to jump and that's hosting a wedding. Linda Cornejo is the events coordinator at the Bradley house in Yakima. She tells our news partner KIMA action news the venue would not host receptions for same-sex couples. Same sex couples could find it almost impossible to get married in a local church. Pastor Dave Hanson says the congregation at Vineyard Christian Church is open to gay couples. There are even some who attend. however, he says the church believes marriage is between a man and a woman and would not perform gay weddings...he says that's just what they believe...many church officials in the valley feel the same way...opting out of gay weddings.
