Calling all artists and those who love art. The Yakima Art Festival is set for Saturday in Downtown Yakima. The event is set for 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Rotary Pavilion (where the Farmers’ Market is held) and it's free.

YOU NEED LOCAL ART

If you are looking for local art the festival is the place to be according to a press release from the Larson Art Gallery. They say the show will include dozens of artists selling their handmade work. It's a chance for you to enjoy and view the creativity of the area and your chance to purchase "one-of-a-kind artwork directly from artists."

LOTS OF COOL STUFF

So what will you see? You'll find pottery, paintings, jewelry along with free art activities for children, the Crave Ink mobile tattoo truck, a beer and wine garden and food trucks. It's not just a festival where you can buy art but it's also a show that benefits the artists and helps the Larson Art Gallery in its mission of cultivating a love of art in the community.

THE ROTARY PAVILION

The release says the gallery has been promoting local art in the community since 1949. The festival itself has been happening since 2007 in different areas. This year’s event will be held at the Rotary Pavilion in Downtown Yakima, with parking available on downtown streets and in parking lots on South 2nd Street. Whether you're an art lover or simply looking for a fun, cultural outing, the Yakima Art Festival is the place to be this Saturday.
