Detectives Make Arrest in West Valley Homicide

Yakima County sheriff's detectives have arrested a 23-year-old man from Yakima in connection with the murder of a man found dead Tuesday in west Yakima.

The victim, 23-year-old Jose Silva, died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The suspect was arrested by the Violent Crimes Task Force at a Yakima-area home and has been booked into the Yakima County jail on a murder charge.

Deputies found Silva's body behind a home in the 100 block of Mahre Road on Tuesday morning. Investigators are still looking into a motive and the relationship between the suspect and victim.
