Are Spooky Howling Winds & Rain Forecast for Yakima on Halloween?
You never really know what the weather will do on Halloween in Central Washington. October 31st could be really nice with relatively warm weather, or, in some years, we could see snowflakes.
Growing up in Wenatchee, which is just about 100 miles north of Yakima, I distinctly remember snow on Halloween in the 5th grade. It was awesome! Sure, it was only an inch or so, but as kids, you didn't have to worry about driving in the stuff and it was magical watching the snow falling as the neighborhood trick-or-treaters were festooned in full Halloween garb, on sugar highs, building impromptu snowmen and sliding around in neighbors' yards.
