Snow. It was what many in the valley wanted for Christmas and that wish came true. A storm that started early Christmas morning greeted the Yakima valley with a white blanket of snow. Some residents are reporting upwards of 2 to 4 inches in parts of West Valley. The storm pounded the Washington Cascades and made driving tough for Christmas drivers over the mountain passes. Roads are slick this morning mainly in area neighborhoods. In Yakima, 6 inches of snow must fall before roads are plowed in neighborhoods and if you have a sidewalk in front of your property its your responsibility to make sure it's cleared of snow.
