A Retired Yakima Doctor is Missing in the Ukraine

A retired Yakima Doctor is missing in Kiev, Ukraine. The Upper Columbia Conference Health Ministries says their director, 77-year-old Dr. Jay Sloop, disappeared during an early morning walk around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday and he has not been seen since. Sloop is in Kiev Ukraine on a medical mission with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The retired doctor from Yakima has been on the mission for the last 3 weeks. Dr. Sloop was scheduled to meet his roommate for breakfast Tuesday morning but failed to show up. Church officials are searching for Sloop Today.
